Police arrest 2 in carjacking shooting

Police took two suspects into custody after a carjacking-turned-shooting in northwest Albuquerque on Monday afternoon.

According to officer Tasia Martinez, police were dispatched to the 800 block of Kipuka NW just before 1 p.m. Detectives are now investigating the scene as a carjacking that resulted in a shooting. 

The victim is being treated at a local hospital. 

Police arrested two suspects who were in possession of the victim's vehicle at a separate location.

Detectives are not releasing the names of those involved at this time. Stay tuned to KOB Eyewitness News 4 and KOB.com for updates.
