A New Mexico State University football coach accused of huffing compressed air has resigned.

According to the Las Cruces Sun-News, police arrested Chris Symington twice in four days for the same crime.

The latest arrest was inside a drug store bathroom on Tuesday.

Head Coach Doug Martin said Thursday that Symington resigned because of health issues.

Symington and his wife told police he will enter rehab in Colorado.
