In one of the most anticipated interviews of the year, former NSA contractor Edward Snowden, the man blamed for the biggest intelligence leak in U.S. history, finally talks.

NBC's Brian Williams speaks exclusively with Snowden about the global impact of releasing classified information about NSA spying programs.

"Well, it's no secret that the U.S. tends to get more and better intelligence out of computers nowadays than they do out of people," Snowden said in a clip from the interview. "I was trained as a spy in sort of the traditional sense of the word in that I lived and worked undercover overseas."

Snowden is still living in exile in Russia.

The hour-long special report begins at 9 p.m. MT before KOB Eyewitness News 4 at 10.
