It’s a place where you expect total privacy.
But that’s not what happened to one man who says someone started filming inside an Applebee’s bathroom.
Applebee’s customers in Roswell are disturbed.
"I think it's terrifying and just a horrible invasion of privacy," said Kendal Waddell.
“That's not right, I’ve never heard of anything like that ever happening in a restaurant or anything," said Austin Gregory.
A customer told police he was in the bathroom stall of the men’s restroom at Applebee’s Monday night.
He looked up and saw a cell phone recording him.
The customer says when he confronted the person, the man recording him remained silent and refused to leave the stall next to him.
So the customer waited for the man to come out.
When he finally did, that’s when the customer says he realized the man filming him was a manager at the restaurant.
Police say the employee told the customer he heard someone was in the bathroom stall vandalizing so he went to film it, but customers aren’t buying it.
“He should be terminated, plus he should be checked out," said Don Barton.
“Really no excuse for that," said Waddell.
Police are not releasing the employee’s name.
A spokesperson for Applebee’s tells KOB Eyewitness News 4 the employee has not worked since the incident and are conducting an internal investigation.
“It’s not just somebody off the street, but someone who actually works there and has a reason to be there," said Waddell.
Roswell police are also investigating, but so far no charges have been filed.
