An injured police officer took the pitching mound Saturday at Isotopes park.

Corrales police officer Jeremy Romero threw the first pitch at the Isotopes game.

In January, Officer Romero was severely injured in a crash during a high-speed police chase. Romero broke part of his spine and is now in a wheelchair.

Romero joked about rapper 50 Cent's first pitch recently at the Mets- Pirates game. Romero said he did not want his pitch to turn out like that.
