Return of neon lights to Historic Route 66 in Albuquerque

Historic Route 66 in Albuquerque will see the return of neon lights through a PNM MainStreet grant.

The PNM grant has funded LED neon lights from 3rd Street to 5th Street along Central. 1st through 8th Streets will receive funding from the City Of Albuquerque to complete the installation.

The new lights will be formally lit at a ribbon cutting on Friday, June 6, at 7 p.m. on 4th and Central with DowntownABQ MainStreet, PNM and city representatives.
