Plans for a scientific ghost town in southern New Mexico are back on track.

The managing director at Pegasus Global Holdings told Albuquerque Business First they had to wait as boundaries of the new Organ Mountains National Monument were confirmed.

Now, they say they can move forward.

The company wants to build the full-scale town for scientific studies. People will not live there.

The company announced its plans in 2012, but location problems delayed the project. Last year, Pegasus chose a site between Deming and Las Cruces.
