An abandoned car left at the Sunport on Friday morning led to a chase, arrest and discovery of stolen goods. Now, police are searching for another suspect linked to the crimes.

Aviation police found several bags of stolen jewelry, electronics, a loaded gun and meth inside a backpack and the vehicle. The car was parked on the curb near the departures section.

"The question is, 'how stupid is a crime like this,'" Chief Marshall Katz said. "The answer? Criminals are not always the sharpest shovels in the shed."

While police were checking out the car, the suspects came outside. The man and woman cooperated with police at first, but then they tried to make a run for it.

Police grabbed the woman, Crystal James, and took her into custody. They are searching for the man, Jovan Martinez, who police say has warrants out for his arrest.

Police are still searching for Jovan Martinez.
