Movie starring Emily Blunt to begin filming in New Mexico

Production on a new film starring Emily Blunt will begin in New Mexico at the end of June.

"Sicario," directed by Denis Villeneuve of "Prisoners," tells the story of a by-the-books FBI agent traveling across the Mexican border with a pair of mercenaries to track down a drug lord.

The movie also stars Benicio Del Toro from "Traffic" and Josh Brolin from "No Country for Old Men."

Production will take place in Albuquerque, Los Lunas, Corrales, Laguna Pueblo, Bernalillo County and Sandoval County at the end of June through the end of August.

According to the New Mexico Film Office, 'Sicario' will employ approximately 200 New Mexico crew members as well as more than 2,000 resident actors and background talent.
