A very dangerous situation in front of an Albuquerque business was caught on video and posted online. It shows a car crashed into a gas line and dozens of people crowded around to see the mess.

The video was posted to YouTube as a "street racing accident" in early June.  In the video, the gas line is hissing loudly and the man behind the camera starts yelling for everyone to clear out.

KOB Eyewitness News 4 took the video to Teala Kail with the New Mexico Gas Company, who said that was the smart thing to do.

"He's saying the right thing here. He's trying to help everyone get out of the area, that's absolutely the right thing to do and it's the first thing you want to do in a blowing gas situation," Kail said.

Kail says any cigarette, lighter, or electronic device like a cell phone could have ignited the gas and caused an explosion. She says the gas line was in pieces and had to be completely replaced.

The driver who ditched the crashed vehicle could face felony charges.
