Bicyclist struck by vehicle leads to DWI investigation

Officers say Jimmy Page was struck by a vehicle while riding a bicycle on Montano at 4th Street Thursday.

According to witnesses, the driver of the vehicle, Robert Duran,36, appeared to be speeding before striking Page, and fleeing the scene.

Duran was located several blocks from the incident. Police say Duran admitted to drinking and smoking marijuana and submitted to testing. Duran was arrested.

Page was transported to University of New Mexico Hospital and suffered extensive injuries. He is listed critical condition.
