A man was found dead in a Los Lunas parking lot Sunday. Now investigators are trying to figure out what happened.

Just after 6:00a.m. Sunday, Los Lunas police received a call from a resident about a man lying in the parking lot at the Gerald Chavez apartment complex. Officers arrived and found Earnest Padilla, 52, dead.

Through the course of the investigation it was revealed that Adam Vaisa, 32, periodically stayed with Padilla.

Investigators would like to speak to Vaisa in hopes he may have more information that will assist in the investigation.

Police say this death is very suspicious and they are not taking any chances.

"We have no suspects. We're treating this like a homicide. We'd rather be safe than sorry,” said Sgt. Frank Lucero with Los Lunas Police Department. “But we're not exactly sure if it's even that yet."

If anyone has information regarding the whereabouts of Adam Vaisa please contact the Los Lunas police Department at (505)839-3855. Tips can also be submitted via the web at
