AT&T just wants to provide Santa Fe with better service, but plenty of residents are worried about safety.

According to our partners at the Santa Fe New Mexican, the company wants to install a 64-foot tower at St. Francis drive and Alameda Street.

The location of the cell tower would be right near a gas station, a fast food restaurant and Gonzales community school.

School and other officials have safety concerns and want it built elsewhere.

City officials will meet again Monday night to discuss AT&T’s proposal.
