A father-daughter pageant dance is the latest video going viral on the web, but this little girl's special needs makes her dad's role even more touching.

The video shows 12-year-old McKenzie Carey being wheeled onstage by her father, Mike. To the tune of Miley Cyrus' "The Climb," Mike dips and twirls McKenzie while the audience cheers them on.

According to the Carey family's website, McKenzie has a rare disease that deprives her body of energy.

McKenzie's parents say she likes participating in pageants because it helps her know she can have the same opportunities as other children--she just needs a little extra help.

"Sometimes we'll walk into a pageant and people will ask why we're there," Mike told the Today Show. "Then we dance, and they say we've inspired them and given them a whole new perspective on life."
