A crematorium that some people in Farmington claimed was making them sick is out of business.

Back in March KOB’s Devin Neeley reported on how residents of Farmington were unhappy with the crematorium.

The state environmental department said the crematorium met all safety standards, but neighbors still took their concerns to city officials.

This week the city rescinded the crematorium's "special-use permit". Its operator has 60-days to relocate or it will be shut down. The city council gave the owner the option of using mitigation that could cost about $50,000.
