Santa Fe Police are launching an operation to protect hotels, after a string of armed robberies on Cerrillos Road.

That will include around-the-clock patrols near the hotels, including alleys and side streets.

Police will also inspect security systems at businesses to make sure they're working properly and will teach employees how to better protect themselves and their cash.

The goal is to incarcerate criminals responsible for the robberies, while keeping tourists, employees, and business owners safe.

They're also trying to identify three suspects in this newly released surveillance photo. It’s from a robbery at the Holiday Inn Express on Cerrillos Road back on May 18th.

Anyone with information concerning these crimes is asked to contact Detective Justin Anaya at (505) 955-5092, Santa Fe Police at (505) 428-3710 or Crime Stoppers at (505) 955-5050.
