Albuquerque cancels air quality alert

The city of Albuquerque has canceled an air quality alert issued for smoke from the Diego Fire burning in the Jemez Mountains.

The Environmental Health Department says a cold front with gusty winds dispersed the smoke before it could reach the metro.

The alert was first issued late Monday.
