University of New Mexico men's basketball assistant coach Craig Snow was named the new head coach at New Mexico Highlands University.  He will replace Joe Harge who resigned earlier this year.

Snow spent the past three seasons at UNM as the team's video coordinator and director of basketball operations before becoming an assistant last season.  Before his coaching stop at UNM, Snow spent five years as the athletic director and head boys basketball coach at Bosque School in Albuquerque.

“It’s bittersweet to lose Coach Snow because he’s been such a big part of our program,” said head coach Craig Neal in a released statement. “However, this is a great opportunity for him to be a head coach of his own program, and I am very excited for him. He’s come through the ranks of our program, starting as a video coordinator, and been a part of our team’s success over the past three years. I would like to thank him for everything he’s done, and he will always be a part of the Lobo basketball family.”
