CLOVIS, N.M. (AP) - Clovis police say they're investigating a man's death as a homicide.

Police say a property manager found the body of 33-year-old Jose Barrera in an apartment on Monday.

According to police, Barrera had a Tucumcari address on his driver's license but recently had been living in Clovis as a transient.

Police say they're awaiting a determination of cause of death but say the death is suspicious because of blood found on the victim's head and because the apartment was supposed to be vacant.

Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in locating two people of interest in the Clovis area they would like to speak to regarding the investigation. Investigators are attempting to locate Frank Campos, 42, of Clovis and Lorenzo Medina (AKA “Torro”), 37, of Clovis. Anyone who may know the whereabouts or how to contact these two men are asked to contact the Clovis Police Department Dispatch at (575)769-1921 and ask to speak with a Detective.
