She's got her sales pitch down, selling lemonade in front of her house on Orchard in Farmington. Keely Stockham, 13, makes and pours the stuff for just 50 cents a cup and with the money she makes, she makes a difference.

“Because my aunt had cancer and I don't want anybody to go through what she had to go through,” she said.

For the last 5 years, Stockham has set up for one week in front of her house.

“The first year I did it, I had a table, I had a banner that blew away and we had an umbrella,” she said.

Every cent Stockham makes benefits the American Cancer Society.

“I just wanted to keep doing it because I think this is fun and I think that someday I could actually help cure cancer.”

In five years, Stockham’s lemonade sales have totaled more than $10,000 so far.

A great start for this young lady that wants to be a doctor.

“I am trying to get really good grades so I can become a doctor and I really want to help people.”

For this project though, there is no end in sight.

“I want to keep doing this as long as I can.”

And even bigger goals ahead.

“I think someday I can help someone out and they will be glad I was there to help.”

No doubt though, there are plenty that she has helped already.
