CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (WBBH) -- A nationwide program is offering free wedding gowns to military wives-to-be as a thank you for the sacrifices they make while their fiancés are deployed.

This week, one Charlotte County bridal shop joins a nationwide effort to provide wedding dresses for military brides. It is called "Operation Wedding Gown" and the prospective brides have to register. Once they do, the rest is nearly magical.

"I look amazing! And I thank you Brides Across America for making my dreams come true," said the elated Judline Magloire of Port Charlotte.

Judline Magloire was in the Charlotte Bridal Boutique Tuesday to be fitted.

Shop owner Lynn Atkins feels it is another way to say thank you to those who serve our country.
