A cold front ripping across New Mexico brought widespread rain to the state overnight into Tuesday.

Afternoon showers and thunderstorms are anticipated across the state between noon and 6 p.m.

Most of the rain will be moderate but there will be pockets of torrential showers which could flood areas very quickly. Almost all burn scars will be at risk.

The rain will continue overnight into Wednesday.
