With one day left of the work week and then a nice two day break how are you going to enjoy the weekend? Here are a couple of events 4 the weekend.
A street festival is taking over Route 66 this weekend. The Route 66 Summerfest will close Central to traffic through Nob Hill in Albuquerque. It's a celebration of the past and present culture of Route 66. There will be live music, car shows, sidewalk sales and more. You'll have a rare opportunity to see hummingbirds up close in Silver City. The Hummingbird Festival takes place on the grounds of Little Toad Creek Inn & Tavern. The event will feature programs by renowned hummingbird specialists, along with music and art exhibits. The event is free to the public and starts Saturday at 9:00 a.m. and will run through Sunday. If you've got the blues this weekend, head north. The Animas River -Blues and Brew Festival takes over Aztec. There's a kick-off concert Friday night at the Historic Aztec Theatre. And in downtown Clayton, it's the 5th Annual Viva New Mexico Music Festival. The concert and dance will feature some of New Mexico's best musicians!
