Lobos land 2 on MW All-Conference team

University of New Mexico offensive lineman Lamar Bratton and kick retrner Carlos Wiggins were both named to the Mountain West football preseason All-Conference team.  Wiggins was also selected as the Preseason Special Teams Player of the Year.  Wiggins was the 2013 FBS leader in kick retrn yardage.  He finished last season averaging almost 30 yards per retrn.  His three kickoff returns for touchdowns tied the leage's single-season record.

The preseason poll and all-conference selections were announced on Monday in Las Vegas.  UNM was picked to finish fifth in the Mountain Division.  Boise State and Fresno State were picked as the division favorites.

This is the second season of divisional play for the conference.  Utah State senior quarterback Chuckie Keaton was named the preseason MW Offensive Player of the Year.  Fresno State safety Derron Smith was selected as the MW Defensive Player of the Year.
