Relatives of the man deputies say was killed by his own son say they are sickened by the news, but they are not surprised.

Mark Mountjoy's niece and nephew say they went to speak with Mark's wife and son before an arrest was made this week.  They say they saw his son, Jaret Mountjoy, in the window of the Torrance County home but when they spoke with Mark's wife Jodi Stepp, she denied that Jaret was there.

Mark's niece Brandy Mountjoy said Jodi's behavior after Mark's death was not normal and now they question her involvement in her husband's death.

"She was real fidgety, real nervous.  No emotion.  None.  I am crying my eyes out and this lady didn't shed a tear.  Not even one tear," Brandy Mountjoy said.

Torrance County Sheriff Heath White says they are investigating Jodi Stepp's involvement. But she has not been arrested or charged.  Meanwhile, investigators continue searching several miles of forest in Torrance County for the gun they say Jaret used to kill his father.
