According to Santa Fe Police, Barbara Hanna, 46, turned herself in around 2 p.m. Friday, in connection to Sunday's hit-and-run accident where pedestrian Lawrence Miera, 59, was killed.

Police say Miera was walking east of Camino Consuelo on Cerillos Road when he was hit and killed by someone driving an SUV just before midnight on July 27th. Surveillance pictures show the driver leaving the vehicle, which was believed to be Hanna.

According to police, Hanna turned herself in after her photo was released to media.

She is charged with accidents involving great bodily harm and failure to report an accident.
