A fully furnished renovated office building recently opened in Roswell. Now it just needs one thing, people.
KOB Eyewitness News 4 found out the concept behind this building’s purpose is something the city has never seen before.
It’s called Beta Roswell. It has high tech conference rooms, rows of offices, and a room full of cubicles.
"Brand new state of the art, clean colorful," said Property Manager Connie Harrell.
And this entire place, except for two people, is empty and ready for business.
You would think a brand new office space like this right downtown would cost a pretty penny.
"I really, really enjoy it here," said Brianda Calvo, 24.
Calvo found out that wasn’t the case and just moved in.
"I love the fact that's its colorful, it's good for young entrepreneurs," said Calvo.
Calvo is starting a business called Emerald Advantage, a third party seller for Direct TV.
“It’s awesome, I never thought I would get this type of office,” said Calvo. “I thought I was really going to start from the bottom."
The idea behind all of this is to create a positive environment for start-up companies, to give young professionals a place to work.
“They have their own cabinets for their own personal storage, we have a refrigerator, a freezer, a wet bar,” said Harrell. “Basically everything that you would want or need. What it does, especially for the younger person is it does give them that confidence, it gives them that good space where they have a very high profile.”
The rooms are available for rent by the day, hour, month, or week.
Offices rent for as little as $125 for a week or $50 for the day.
The office is mirrored after a similar project in Louisiana called Beta New Orleans.
The property manager says the renovations cost around $250,000.
