The Albuquerque man who killed a mother and her 1-year-old son in a rollover crash in late July was indicted Monday by the Bernalillo County District Court.

41-year-old Carlos Rosales-Polanco could face life imprisonment for killing 30-year-old Adriana Chavez-Miranda and her son, and seriously injuring Chavez-Miranda’s 10-year-old son, while allegedly driving drunk on Coors Blvd. July 26.

Deputies say Rosales-Polanco was likely speeding and intoxicated when he slammed into a utility pole and rolled his vehicle.

Rosales-Polanco faces three felony charges: intentional child abuse of a child under 12, resulting in death, homicide by a vehicle, and another child abuse charge for injuring the 10-year-old.

A date for Rosales-Polanco’s arraignment has not yet been set.
