LITTLETON, Colorado -- A group of Girl Scouts from Socorro helped save passengers from a hot air balloon that nearly crashed into a Colorado reservoir.
According to KUSA in Denver, the balloon ran out of fuel over the Chatfield State Park reservoir and couldn't land on solid ground.
As the balloon hovered above the water, a fisherman and the Girl Scout troop teamed up to successfully pull the passengers ashore.
"Well first, my dad got the balloon and said that we need to grab it real, real tight. So, he was calling everyone over and I was the first one to get it. And then my baby brother got it and then the whole troop started following along," Elena Anaya told KUSA.
Everyone managed to get out of the balloon and no one was hurt in the incident.
