Southwest Secondary Learning Center Director Dr. Scott Glasrud submitted his resignation Thursday to the center's counsel, only weeks after being placed on paid leave.

On August 7, Glasrud was placed on leave amidst an FBI investigation.

The FBI served search warrants at the Southwest Learning Centers' main office after the state auditor's review said the school system awarded contracts to an aviation company owned by Glasrud.

The deal, originally designed to use aircraft for the schools' aviation program, totaled more than $1 million since 2008.

Officials said August 4 that the councils had no knowledge of wrongdoing by anyone associated with the schools.

Glasrud's resignation comes from Interim Head Administrator Al Baysinger.
