The District Attorney's Office will not pursue charges against UNM Assistant Professor David Correia, who was arrested for allegedly assaulting a police officer during a June protest at the mayor's office.

Correia was accused of pushing an officer to get into the mayor's office.

KOB checked court records online Wednesday evening, and the charges have been dropped.

Police arrested a dozen other people following the sit-in, all of whom have been charged with trespassing.
