Imagine seeing it on TV – officers in full gear in your backyard, and you have no idea why.

An Albuquerque woman recounted to KOB Thursday how she found out a suspected murderer who was on the loose in northwest Albuquerque was in her backyard.

"Everybody was texting me, 'Your house is on TV!' and so, you know, it was like, 'Okay, we're not there; we're okay,'" Tina Cordova said.

Deputies told Cordova the man they chased, Alex Trinidad Gallegos, ran threw her yard and got blood on her pool cover.

From there, she said Gallegos jumped her fence into a neighbor's yard, broke a window, and went inside.

Cordova said her neighbor "saw the mess on the floor, and got out of the house with her baby."

Deputies say the manhunt ended two houses down from Cordova, where they discovered Gallegos hiding in a closet.

"Everybody is safe and nothing bad happened," Cordova said. "The police caught the bad guy."
