The first calls came into dispatch at 4:21 a.m., with multiple callers saying at the time that shots had been fired and people had been hit.

When police arrived, they found nobody who was shot, and after checking with local hospitals, found no one had been privately taken to any hospital with gunshot wounds.

Police say that 28-year-old Tyvon Green and 22-year-old Shanoah Cauley were the men who fired shots in the area.

The two men fled the scene, but got into a minor accident not far from The Cottages, whereupon they started shooting at the driver with whom they had crashed.

The driver, was dropping friends off at a nearby hotel, according to police, and was not involved with the earlier party.

Neither the driver nor a passenger in his vehicle was injured during the shooting.

The driver positively identified Green and Cauley as the men in the vehicle who had shot at them.

After police contacted and spoke with the two suspects, they were arrested just after 9 a.m.

Green is charged with the felony counts: aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, use of a firearm and conspiracy. His bond is set at $15,000.

Cauley is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, shooting from a moving vehicle, use of a firearm and tampering with evidence. All are 4th-degree felony charges.
