SANTA FE -- With the burning of Old Man Gloom taking place on Friday this year, the Santa Fe County DWI Program hopes to keep celebrators safe by offering a $1 cab ride home from a bar or party after the Zozobra festivities.

The reduced rate rides start at 5:30 p.m. on Friday and end at 2:30 a.m. Saturday morning.

To request a cab from the program, call (505)-438-0000.

"Rid yourself of all the year's worries and troubles, send them up in smoke with Zozobra and then save yourself from anymore worries by taking the Cab Ride Home instead of drinking and driving, Think SaFe.  Drinking and driving is never good. Ever," said Lupe Sanchez, DWI Program Coordinator.
