An Espanola charter school hopes to re-open this coming Tuesday after it was red-tagged and everyone was told to leave.
A video of a state inspector telling the staff at Carinos Charter School the building was red-tagged came to light at the school of around 200 students. The school has been giving them excused absence this week.
According to school officials, inspectors said they found violations like exposed wires, along with possible mold and asbestos.
They say previous inspections didn't find such problems, and the school district is responsible for maintaining the building.
The school says it's working with state inspectors to re-open.
