Thanks to quick action of the Albuquerque Fire Department and the Albuquerque Police Department a little boy was rescued from a hot car.

According to APD, the child was rescued near Candelaria and Eubank around 4:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

Police say, the child's mother put her son in his car seat and then accidentally locked her keys in the car. She called a locksmith for help, but they said it was going to take 30 minutes for someone to get there.

Emergency crews quickly stepped in to break the back window of the car and pull the boy out.

Rescue crews checked the boy's condition and then handed him over to his mother.
