A new scam is targeting PNM customers who are part of the home energy checkup program.
PNM says scammers are trying several different approaches, including posing as employees and showing up on doorsteps unannounced.
PNM will not show up at your home without a prescheduled appointment, so customers are urged to call police if this happens to them.
Also, if you receive a phone call and think it is a scam, hang up and call the actual home energy checkup program at 1-855-775-6491.
