Fire burning in Guadalupe County

Forestry officials said Friday a grass fire is burning in Guadalupe County between Vaughn and Santa Rosa.

Forestry officials say the "Pastura" fire is at about 500 acres, but they say they won't know for sure how big it is until Saturday. They say the flames are moving to the southwest.

They say the fire is not threatening any structures and is burning on private land.

A forestry spokesman says the fire may have been started by lightning, though the official cause has not been determined.
