New trail opens in popular park
A new trail opened Saturday at an historic New Mexico National Park.
The Glorieta Battlefield Trail at Pecos National Historical Park opened to the public Saturday morning after crews worked on construction of the trail for two years.
Living war demonstrations, music and public tours are scheduled all day Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Pecos National Park in conjunction with the opening.
The park is about 25 miles east of Santa Fe.
