Lowe's to add 500 full-time jobs in Albuquerque

Home improvement retailer Lowe's will look to add more than 500 jobs to its Albuquerque customer support center, the company announced Monday.
In all, Lowe's intended to hire 1,700 full-time employees by October. Along with Albuquerque, Lowe's said it will add more than 500 customer service representatives and central production office positions in Indianapolis and another 600-plus jobs in Wilkesboro, North Carolina.
Customer service representatives will help customers process orders, schedule repairs and answer questions about products, according to Lowe's statement.
The announcement states Lowe's will also hire more than 45,000 season employees nationally for the spring season.
“While home improvement inspiration and product selection often begins online and progresses at the store, the work starts at home,” said Jennifer Weber, chief human resources officer in a statement. “We want to be there every step of the way as customers move this work forward, whether it’s answering questions for DIY customers or coordinating the work for them through installation services."
