SANTA FE, N.M. -- Meow Wolf, Santa Fe's renowned art-production company, is going to expand and hire more people.

On Thursday, state officials announced Meow Wolf will create 250 new permanent full-time jobs over the next five years. They include artists, craftsmen and technicians.

Santa Fe and the state are giving Meow Wolf a $1.1 million boost from funds set aside to help local businesses grow

"We're thrilled to be expanding our facility to bring our art to people around the world," Meow Wolf CEO Vince Kadlubek said in a statement. "Thanks to Governor Martinez's expansion of the closing fund, we're able to get bridge funding for this project and create jobs for New Mexican artists. We're looking forward to showing the rest of the world what Meow Wolf and New Mexico has to offer."
