Albuquerque businesses team up to help combat Lou Gehrig’s Disease Web Staff

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.--  Two area businesses are lending their support  the fight against Lou Gehrig's Disease (ALS) in some upcoming events.


American Home Furniture and Mattress is one of the sponsors for the ALS Association's Walk to Defeat ALS.

The walk is September 24 at 10 Isotopes Park in Albuquerque. People can join or create a team or  make donations at

American Home and Tempur-Pedic Mattresses will donate a Tempur-Pedic mattress to any team that raises $10,000 or more.

On Thursday, September 14, the Fuddruckers restaurant at Coronado Mall will host a Burgers for Benefits fundraiser event, where if you mention the American Home sponsorship for ALS when you order, Fuddruckers will donate 15 percent to the cause.
