Dual-threat QB helps Eldorado to 3-1 start

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- The Eldorado High School football team will take on Valley this week.

The Eagles are 3-1 on the year and they sure know how to score. They're averaging more than 44 points a game, led by dual-threat quarterback Gabe Smith.

His fast feet have a lot to do with his success, his coach said.

"Gabe's speed, his ability to run and be able to pass has surprised some teams," Eldorado head coach Charlie Dotson said. "But we'll have to wait and see how he does in a couple weeks when we play Clovis and Manzano and La Cueva."
