ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- The La Cueva High School volleyball team remains perfect on the season. The Bears won the metro championship over the weekend and followed that up with a win over Cleveland on Tuesday.

The Bears are big, fast and physical, and winning the metro title put everyone on notice.

"I think it makes a statement, not only to the city but across the state, that we're a contender," volleyball coach Steve Archibeque said. "Other teams are looking that we are a contender, but this really kind of solidifies things."
