Sandia turns close halftime score into blowout over Oñate

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The Sandia High School Matadors took on the Oñate Knights on Saturday, turning a close halftime score into a 24-point victory.

The Matadors turned on the gas in the second half after the two teams were separated by just a touchdown after two quarters, with Sandia junior Deante Bernard making one of many plays for the Matadors that turned the tide in their favor. Sandia ended up beating Oñate 59-35 to remain unbeaten on the season.
