Favorite News Stories:  During my time in Nashville, I uncovered a loophole in how prosecutors handle DUI penalties in Tennessee. While in Texas, I did several exclusive reports on a misleading tax petition in Oklahoma. The tax increase petition had several signatures of deceased voters—which at the time was legal in Oklahoma. The story prompted the Tax Petition Transparency Bill, which Governor Mary Fallin signed into law in 2011.

First (Memorable) Reporting Story: While a college undergrad, I interviewed an Illinois artist used recycled bottles to make a glass Christmas tree. The story was picked up by CNN online.

Why I'm A Journalist: I believe in the power of the fourth estate and its ability to uphold democracy. Because my family fled communism, I strongly believe in the freedom of speech.

Favorite thing about New Mexico: I like my food to be so spicy I’m sweating at the table. So, I love chili—all chili.

Hidden Talent: Eating. I love eating.

Dream Job: I’d like to be an Olympic swimmer, but I think I need master the doggie paddle first.

Favorite Musician: I consider Phil Collins to be my boyfriend. When he sings to me on the radio, I sing along.

One thing my co-workers don’t know about me is… I’m a tomboy and I like baseball caps. I had a pixie cut in college. I didn’t know how to apply makeup or dress until a consultant taught me how to at my first TV News job
