Suspect arrested, accused of ramming deputy's vehicle

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The man wanted for fleeing from a traffic stop, almost hitting a sheriff’s deputy, has been arrested.


Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office says Carlos Alonso-Villa has been arrested.  Officials say he is accused of leading a deputy on a dangerous pursuit Friday before ramming his truck into the deputy’s patrol vehicle and taking off.

Deputy’s received tips that Alonso-Villa had contacted family members which helping them track down his location.

Alonso-Villa faces charges for aggravated assault on a peace officer and aggravated fleeing of an officer.
