TV mogul buys Imus ranch north of Santa Fe

SANTA FE, N.M. – The 3,400-acre ranch owned by former radio show host Don Imus, has been sold. 


According to our partners at the Santa Fe New Mexican, realtors representing the sale said the property in the midst of the gorgeous Pecos River Valley was sold not “far off” from the $19.9 million listing price.

Bell Tower Keller Williams agent Craig Huitfeldt told the New Mexican that the original plan was to auction off the ranch starting at a $5 million minimum bid.  He said the offer came in, keeping the property from the auction.

The new owner is TV mogul Patrick Gottsch.  Gottsch started his career selling satellite dishes door to door before founding several cable TV networks.

Huitfeldt says he does not know what Gottsch plans to do with the ranch that had been used by Imus in the past to benefit children with cancer.
