Doña Ana County jail director busted for pot Web Staff

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The director of the Doña Ana County Detention Center is accused of buying pot from undercover officers on no less than four separate occasions.


A criminal complaint states that Christopher Barela is charged with four counts of possessing pot. The Las Cruces Sun News reports those charges all come from undercover operations.

The Sun News states Barela has not been arrested. Instead, he’ll likely receive a court summons.
