Fire damages vacant building in Shiprock Web Staff

SHIPROCK, N.M. -- A fire caused extensive damage to a vacant building in the Shiprock area on Wednesday.


A viewer sent KOB photographs of the damage, and a video also shows heavy smoke coming from the building.

The Farmington Daily Times reports the Boys and Girls Clubs of America had previously used the building. According to the newspaper, it also forced part of U.S. Highway 491 to shut down.
